Time constraints mean that I can play for 1 or 2 hours when I log on. All I've wanted to do for the past 3 days is kill something but the game has decided that it's not going to help me achieve this, or rather, is actively denying me the opportunity.
On Monday I had a couple of hours to play. I found a kill contract worth around 170K CR and started looking for USSes. After about 4 or so of these I got a message from a ship asking me not to kill the target but abandon it and they would give me 5K. Well the money wasn't important but even then I'd prefer 170K to 5K so I didn't abandon the quest and continued looking. About 15 or so USSes later and I still hadn't found the target, time had run out (in RL) and I had to log out. On Tuesday when I logged in the timer had expired.
On Tuesday I had a couple of hours to play. After yesterday's annoying efforts to find something to kill I decided I'd hit a Nav Beacon and bounty hunt wanted people. I was there over an hour in which time I found only 1 wanted pilot.
Today, I've just logged in and taken another kill contract. I've only been online half an hour but I already see similarities between what is happening now and what happened on Monday. Someone has already asked me not to fulfil the contract and to kill someone else instead but neither target are to be found after half a dozen USSes. In half an hour I'll have to log out again and when I get chance to log back in this contract will have expired.
I used to be able to fulfil contracts much easier than this. What happened?
