As someone living in the Sonoran desert I'd love to see some of these:
Javelina (Collared Peccary)
Coati (its range does extend down into South America, but they are cool to see in the desert)
Ringtail
Desert tortoise
Sidewinder
Tiger rattlesnake
Mexican Grey Wolf (although I understand we already have two different models, this is more for conservation status)
Coyotes (they fit very well with this theme, even if they are widespread like some other animals on this list)
Bobcat
Bighorn Sheep
Desert horned lizard
Greater Roadrunner
