Sony HMZ T2 ED astonishing in space !

So way back when DK1 came out I got all excited, but after watching the hype die down and get some real impressions from reviews and videos it became clear it still needed work, mainly in the readability of text and the res.

Like many I was tempted to buy one, but at £400+ a pop I was a little reluctant to spend the £ on something that was essentially already defunct and just for testing.

Then I noticed another product the Sony HMZ

after looking into it I found it has 2x oled screens so there is no ghosting in 3D, also it has a 3D res of 1280x720 at 60hz, I saw them going on Ebay for roughly the same as an oculus[used that is] and opted for a Sony HMZ T2 instead.

I have been playing mainly horror games on it using a gyro mouse velcro'd to it for head movement, in games like Outlast the immersion is complete !!!

I tried ED today for the 1st time on them and just had to make a thread telling anyone that might be interested in this little device that it is hardcore.
!!ED looks absolutely ASTONISHING on it, the cockpit is proper 3D and the particles in space whizz at you. With facetracknoir and some ir led's the experience is complete.
So if you have a few quid spare and are thinking about a triple monitor setup for gaming or a projector, take a look at a HMZ first is my advice :)

I have seen some negative opinions regarding the HMZ, mainly about the comfort, I had it for about a week and found it terribly uncomfortable until I discovered it is supposed to sit on your forehead, not your nose. Get that right and it's quite comfortable even for a big head like mine :)

I bid you all adieu.
