Soo.. i got this Guardian Powerplant....

Its not Engineerable, at least if i try i get Server errors all day. My old Powerplant has more power, tiny bit lower heat generation (3%) and is cheaper by around 20 mil.

Why did i grind 42 Epsilon Patterns again? I hope this gets buffed, otherwise its totally worthless and a waste of Time.

Isn't the point of the Guardian Modules being pre engineered modules for those who asked for such to be available?

Unlock them once and you have access to a module with some benefits akin to engineering only from outfitting.

No need to engineer each module.

Now you have the choice
Bespoke engineered modules, you have to get the material for each and every one each and every time
Or "Pre engineered" Guardian Modules you have to unlock once.

I used mine for a T-6 with a 3A prismatic, and an undersized one for an Asp Explorer. The Vulture is a propable candidate for it, too. It's just not the "better for everything" plant, it's specialized.

People forget about one tiny aspect of powerplant in combat with Thargoids. It is sniped pretty fast . Normal class 8 PP has 36 power and 165 intergrity which is reduced when you increase the power. Guardian PP got 47 power generation with 165 base integrity

It's meant for thargoid combat. Can't be EMP'd. Try it on the T-10. I put one one on the chieftain but it was cooking itself while scooping even after I engineered everything for heat reduction.
Just tried it on my python and it was constantly overheating in combat unless I had 4 pips to weapons. Thats running 2x eff c2 beams, and 3x o.c. multi's. :(
The heat efficiency is ridonculous.

So if they "fix" engineering guardian powerplant so what is this?

They "FIX IT" just by "serwer error" when you try to upgrade it. I still have this window to engineer this module, just simply game have error when you wanna do it. That's not a "fix" lol

That's kind of cool to be EMP-proof!

Hah,

void *part;

part=0;

Where I work we call that a hinky solution. Also, it wouldn't pass peer review.

Still might be the only way to get a quick fix in.

Guardian modules are a little better than stock human weapons, but they do low damage compared to well engineered and planned out all-human ships.

Quick question I started the gaurdian site yesterday and do I really need to log in and out like 22 plus times to activate the sphere thing in order to get the blueprints to unlock these or am I doin it wrong? First time was cool and fun after 5 times I quit.

Hold on a sec.

Mode-swapping is part of the loop mechanics for unlocking Guardian tech?

Or are people using mode-hopping to cheese it?

because it was a serverside hotfix.
will be done right with the next client fix

not mode switching, just instance resetting.
you can do it either via relogging or flying a short round trip with your ship.

same as you do with any other persistant material grinding spot.
