Yes I know that and I’m not to keen. That will take some time to do the 5000ly trip.
Yes and no - watch out for the permit and rank locked engineers - you don't get a warning about them.
Took me a little while but once i started i got into the whole scanning thing and discovering a bunch of worlds so i think it ended up taking me about 20 -30 hours, but if you just want to haul *ss out to the jellyfish nebula and back you could do it a 'couple of hours' probably in a 40 ly jump capable ship.
