Newcomer / Intro Sorry, this access key has been used previously.

I bought Elite Dangerous (CMDR deluxe edition) last night for my PC on steam and let it install overnight, when I got up this morning i tried to play Elite but It wouldn't let me and I had to register a frontier account, so I did (when I was registering I forgot to type my CD code in during the initial register so had some random made up code put there instead) so I thought that was the end of it, I added all my details too like location and adress etc. And tried again and it asked me to Verify my account, so I did. I got the email and used the code then it asked me to redeem Elite Dangerous or purchase it. So I got the CD keys up and TRIED to redeem core elite on the Website but this came up "Sorry, this access key has been used previously." Which is impossible, I only bought it last night. So I went onto frontier store to see if I could do it there on the Product access keys tab, I typed in my CD code and the same message popped up. I asked on steam and people said that I need to link my frontier account with my steam account, so I did that and tried again and again, this popped up "Sorry, this access key has been used previously." on both the redeeming website and frontier stores. So I checked the elite dangerous page on frontier and it turns out, I OWN horizons season pass on frontier's website but not the core game [mad].

Anyone know what to do? I've been trying to sort this out for 3 hours so I can't even refund it, and I might aswell have thrown my 40 quid in the bin as of now seeing as though i've not been able to play a single second of Elite dangerous yet!

I even checked my partner keys and on frontier's store and all it says is that the keys I generate on steam will add my games to my library but thats clearly not the case seeing as the Keys I got from steam don't even work.

Can anyone help me?

Hmm, it's possible that either Steam screwed up and sold the same key twice, or someone stole the Steam key, before.

I think you should contact the Frontier customer service. They will walk you through the right procedure of creating or linking the accounts and if you indeed find out that your key is invalid, you should rain fire on the Steam support for selling you used key.

I personally don't use Steam, nor do I trust them and I bought both Elite copies directly from their shop, so I can't tell you any more than that.

If the above fails then contact FD support or open a ticket. They're really helpful and friendly. Expect about two days for an answer though.
