Sorry to Cmdr I just killed

You made me angry after you insulted me at the Nav point, Bounty hunting is winner takes all. Sorry I killed you but dont insult people because you lost a bounty!

Yea I know i did nick it though he was down to 50% hull and then i steamed in. Still feel bad about my reaction but so should the CMDR, If he pms will drop him some gold

You stole his kill, costing his money, why would he not be angry? You're lucky it wasn't me you did that to, I have some mean tricks for revenge!

EDIT: Imagine you are at a buffet, the chicken tray is near empty but someone is scraping the last bits onto his plate, rather than wait 2 mins for a new tray of chicken to arrive you shove him out of the way and take the scraps for yourself, but don't worry, you feel bad so you will throw some potatoes on the floor for him to scoop up and put onto his plate.

I like to swoop in when someone is getting hammered by an NPC and help them out. I usually stop firing when they're down to about 10% hull. If I accidentally steal a bounty off a cobra or viper it's no biggie, but I'd feel horrible if I stole someone's anaconda kill.

target had zero shileds to begin with and was 50% hull i did the rest

Yeah... that's a pretty cut and dry kill steal.

I wouldn't worry to much bounty hunting is a dog eat dog world, who ever has the bigger teeth wins. I had a cmdr ram me several times because I killed a bounty before he did so I wouldn't feel too bad for him.

Mistakes happen and people will always get caught up in the thrill of the chase, but when you see that guy (or girl) who has to chase down every kill whether they tagged it first or not, it does get annoying.

Let's make it based on damage %. That way, even if we can never stop the llamas who have to jump on someone elses kill, no one gets left out completely.

I was also at the nav beacon for 40 minutes before any other CMDRs appeared.

If you was there first then they should leave out of common courtesy, I always move on if there is another cmdr there before me. A nav beacon is not big enough for more than one cmdr, plenty of anarchy systems out there.

Did you steal his kill? Because if you did... it's just low... find your own target.

Honour among thieves is a questionable moral.

Honour amongst killers is a joke.

Can I suggest manners during a gang (word not allowed but rhymes' tape' ) 'after you my friend' 'no no Madbeard you go first'

Does anyone comms a "hello" or "watch your shooting Commander" when they find themselves with other commanders at a Nav point.
I have found not everyone responds, which makes me question do they know how or are they anti-social, too busy keeping alive? It can be difficult to respond when your hands are darting all over the keyboard.
Some do and are reasonable about negotiating a bit of cooperation. Had one gracious commander watch my back while I stripped a larger wanted ship down to component parts. If the upcoming wings, allows cooperative sharing of bounty it would be helpful, but full of possible exploits. A balancing nightmare.

One possibility, 10% of the bounty split between each in the group with the bulk going to the kill shot.

It's dog eat dog out there. If it was me, and it was a very large bounty, I would for sure have triied to take it, maybe even blow the other guy up first just to prevent him from taking it. If I'm in a more powerful ship, usually just shooting the guy down to like half hull is more than enough to get him to leave, I mean I don't really have any desire to kill him, but don't get between me and my next meal.
