Oh, can I call a thread stupid?
Wanted to say: all other threads aren't stupid

Maybe cause all is said, from all kinds of ...sayersI think this thread is stupid. It's ok.
But then, I think the theme for the last few pages was "I'm negative about yamicks and naysayers, because they are negative". And also "I don't care about Yamicks and naysayers, but I post in every thread about them anyway".

There is another topic to "parody" that one, with redacted in the name. You might think of that one ?
Myself, I would have been happy with a less combat-oriented FP. I like the exploration legs, but everything related to settlements basically means combat. And then, if you want to enjoy it, you definetly need the grind and play it a lot, which don't-car-about-FPS players don't intend to do. So in the end, the whole FP stuff is overlooked by lots of players.I think the addition of FPS would have been fine had they not made the space experience worse with UI changes and planet glassing. Throw in a few new ships for us to drool over and even the anti-FPS guys (I consider myself more disinterested/neutral on the subject) would have rolled with it just fine and been happy.
Indeed. If you are an exploration-focused player, EDO offers almost nothing new in that regard. Exobiology is less than barebones, and borders on frustrating most of the time. Never mind the stark lack of diversity; once you've seen one tube tree you've seen them all. Beyond that, it's still basically the same experience as Horizons.Myself, I would have been happy with a less combat-oriented FP. Trading and mining have not changed at all either as there is no form of infantry-based mining or prospecting.
So really all EDO truly added is fps combat.
Now that bugs have been fixed, and even if everything is not perfect yet, I can say it with some confidence. Some stuff dosen't work, yep, ...
