Any chance you could add another switch and slider for station sounds?
I usually play on my PC and can only hear my ship, which is the way I set it and want it.
Being away from home I have gone into the game a few times to see if anything is better since EDO broke so much.
On my laptop with settings the same as my PC, I hear something banging, like someone knocking on a door or a window, over and over.
I hear people walking
I hear radio chatter
I hear ship traffic shooshing
many other things are shooshing
I hear elevators moving
I hear many things moving and dropping
and apparently someone driving in the rain.
are my ships walls so thin?
can I pay for insulation and some extra sound proofing?
none of this is related to ship repairs or cargo movement on my ship.
In my opinion all I should be hearing are the low volume beeps and hums of my ship and/or its elevator once I make it move.
I have worked on ships in shipyards, when I am outside I hear the sea, the wind, welding, cranes, some vehicle traffic and sometimes people.
If I am on the outside aka on deck, then it can be noisy, but inside the cabins I can hear a pin drop unless we are at sea and moving and in a cargo ship or a very small boat.
In a passenger ship, I hear nothing or I hear music or people but never shipyard sounds.
In tiny 1-2 man ships I hear all ship noises, the sea the wind, the boat creaking.
But these are very large space ships and we get stuffed into a bay that moves down then off to the side or somewhere
And they should all be soundproofed enough so the engines that are as big or bigger than a house don't blow our eardrums out. As such I should not be able to hear the sounds I am hearing.
