i will occasionally experience a sound glitch no doubt due to the lower spec nature of my pc, this glitch presents itself as "missing sounds", sound that are supposed to play at particular times will just be missing.
more often than not i will experience the boost sound missing when i immediately boost after dropping into space near a starport.
the most bliss hour of elite gaming happened about a week ago when the game decided it wouldn't play the "boom" sound associated with the start and end points of hyperspace jumps. what a difference it made, every jump felt so smooth it really was was playing another game, even making the longer jump times seem shorter and less labor intensive.
i would like to experience that time again and to this end i've been researching the possibilities of configuring the game to have specific sounds turned off and to my displeasure it seems there are just no official or even unofficial ways to sensibly and realistically achieve this.
i really thought there would be at least a 3rd party tool like there are tools to manage the in-game colour profiles but for audio, if someone knows of a thing i'd like to hear about it, if someone can create a thing i'd like to hear about it...
perhaps i've overlooked something obvious, i'd like to hear about it, but mostly i'd just like no have the option to not hear specific sounds.
additionally, i did discover this post https://steamcommunity.com/app/359320/discussions/0/485624040229464439/
which suggests more sound configurability is or at least was possible at some point but have been unsuccessful at finding the file mentioned in the post myself, if this is still available could someone help with that?
more options = better
