Sound Issues

I know we've had the Delayed sound issue on dropping from SC since launch but in the last week or so I regularly have no/limited sound when I start up the game. There are some background sounds playing but ship interface sounds, engines, afterburner are all missing. When as soon as I jump into Low/High wake the sounds return with a weird electronic glitch sound. Anyone else experiencing this?

The vocal commands/messages came through but nothing else until jumping

In Odyssey, I often find that my boost sound is missing. Feels strange to just silently start going faster.

Update your sound card/audio controller drivers...or revert them to known working ones. I've personally encountered some major issues with Microsoft's default HDA drivers on Realtek chipsets. Using correct Windows sound settings (24-bit, 48kHz is a good starting point, but knocking it down to 16-bit and/or 44.1kHz will sometimes resolve issues) can also help.

You can also try playing with the AudioConfig.xml settings.

I do sometimes still encounter an issue where certain sounds are missing, especially if there are many other sounds playing, but this is rare.

I don't like how the sound of the FSD winding down when you start to near the surface of a planet during wake ride now resets and adjust halfway through. Also, sometimes the noise of drop witchspace skim/whatever lasts longer and sounds cooler than it does other times.

I can hear that the wrong settings crackle in Elite: Dangerous.

Pretty common today but I had a friend with the same problem when he was recording a video, I don't know if it has any connection but I have managed to avoid the crackling disturbances.

Seeing the same thing in Horizons, don’t have Odyssey.

hello I had this problem and I solved the problem parameter > system > sound > advanced sound option > in output you have to meter your sound device for me it's my sony monitor so instead of digital audio I put "sony ftv nvidia high definition audio "and the sound and came back immediately
