Sound Problems in Odyssey

Greetings CMDRs

been playing since launch , but since Odyssey i have problems with the ingame sound , seems to be delayed ,
after dropping out of SC for example and then boosting to the station the boosting thruster sound is "delayed" for about 3 seconds , also in many other cases
is it just me and my old potato ?

same goes with my mic , im in a wing but the mic is not working , all other games and voice attack wokrs fine with the mic
any help would be appriciated

I have the exact same issue when dropping from SC.
 
No, you are correct, this has been the case since release. It's like they limited the number of simultaneous audio samples as opposed to Odyssey (or something is bugging out).
 
What's the term for the audio feature that mutes/dampens all other sound when e.g. a grenade goes off next to you?

Feels like that's what's going on here. Just way too much.

I noticed this as well (and yes, since launch this has been a "thang"). To me it seems that the ship sound effects get completely muted when certain background music plays (the ones that kick in when you drop into a station instance), but not all of them cause this.

And then there's the missing soundtrack kicking in altogether when you enter into combat - be that in a RES or CZ.

Still works in Horizons at least. Until patch 8 most likely.
 
yep, especially the drop from SC to a station, as you say you have time to hit the boost before the sound even begins to fade back in.
