Sounds break up at stations

Anyone else getting this? The game plays fine but I get a crackling sound whenever I am taking off or landing.

You may need to disable your audio enhancements in Windows (Bass Boost, Loudness Equalisation etc). It made a massive improvement on my machine.

It happened during interdiction as well... and I have a top of the line CPU, it does seem to be affected by connection speed however.

Crystal clear for me - running a ext sound card and a decent headset , a few things to monitor are your cpu's load and heat, CoreTemp is a good free program for this. if you have an on board s/card and your cpu is not up to scratch it maybe a load issue.
Also check drivers for sound card - ensuring updated version - would recommend re-installing anyway.

As Dr Roly mentioned check your bass settings it may be simply that your speaker can't take the bass gain and it's particular heavy during take off / landing , jump to hyper drive.

My sound is fine anywhere else. Its just landing and taking off from outposts on for a second or two passing through letterbox at big stations. Nothing else cause the distortion. Its not bass related because there are much more sound intensive occasions where I get no distortion and not temp'load related. Just something very specific about being near a station. Very odd.
