Incidentally, has there been a space station named after Peake yet? Or the other Brits such as Sharman, Foale, Patrick, Sellers, Garriott, etc.

I saw a tweet from (I think) Channel Four suggesting everyone should dress as apes when they met him on the ground. Made me chuckle.

Surely the guy should be termed a Cosmonaut since he was the guest of Russians.

Given the enormous contributions so many people have made to the betterment of humanity, do we really need to get so excited about a guy who to a jaunt in space and will probably get some vanity award from the Queen for it.

Well technically he's part of the European Astronaut Corps so he's actually under the ESA banner - and not under Russia or NASA. It also means he can freely fly the Union Flag in space without having to also carry an American or Soviet/Russian flag.
