Space Adaptation - The Search for Life. An unique expedition to visit life forms in space!

Dear Commanders,

There is a lot of life in the Universe, from tiny micro-organisms to complex fusion and symbiosis of viable organisms. It is a wonder how all this exists in the universe around us.
To experience these phenomena first hand, the expedition "Space Adaptation - the Search for Life" will visit all manner of life forms out there in the dangerous void relatively close to the Bubble. Join a group of like-minded explorers and admire 11 different alien life forms, including objects created by them, and append these exciting new discoveries to your Codex. The expedition route has been optimized to enable more than 20 codex entries to be collected by visiting only 7 different systems within 15k ly from Sol.
For the enthusiast, there is also a modified route that includes some 20 further systems, containing an extra 20 variations of these life forms.

As a souvenir of your expedition, we aim to take group photographs at each of the phenomena, and collate these into a visual library of the trip.

This expedition presents a unique opportunity for you and your fellow explorers to study, with relative ease and speed, a significant section of life in our universe.

If you wish to join us on our adventure please follow these steps:
  • Sign up with the expedition on EDSM
Optional but recommended (alternatively you can do the expedition lonely on your own):
  • Join the Fleetcomm Discord
  • Join the Fleetcomm PG (as mentioned in “joining-fc-fg” on discord
  • Share your experiences in the fleetcom “Current Expedition” channel “space-adaptation-expedition!”
Finally, for those that want to visit all systems and want to risk their life in open, or fly in another PG: Intermediate waypoints will be posted on this forum weekly as soon the expedition starts.

Waypoint 1 (Start): Trifid Sector DL-Y d157

You will find 3 Notable stellar phenomena locations in this System
Some will have a nice red glow (Roseum Lagrange Cloud).
You will find the following lifeforms:

Try to find them all.
You can interact with the Collared Pods with a research limpet, giving different “pod” tissues.
Maybe other means of interactions are possible. Share your experiences in the Fleetcomm expedition channel.
=====================================================================
Our route continues to WP2. You can fly directly (1) or take the route via intermediate waypoints to fill up your codex (2 or 3) and see some beautiful sceneries:

Trifid Sector FW-W d1-233 (17.11 ly from wp1)
In the asteroid belt of a beautiful gas giant, in a light-brown myst, you will find the:

Trifid Sector BQ-Y d244 (20.09 ly from wp1)
This system contains a Notable stellar phenomena that have a beautiful yellow glow. Don't miss this location and visit it. It contains the:
Collared PodsBlatteum

After visiting these systems, you can start your journey back to find some Gour Molluscs.
The Gourd Molluscs are very tiny. Check your radar for flickering dots while no object is observed in that direction.

Traikeou SE-P d6-16 (6619.55 ly from wp1)
For the die hards that have enough time and want to find 100% of the species: make this huge detour (route 3) to visit this system to find the unique:
Gourd MolluscsPurpureum
Hear them howl when they get an energy burst in the viride navy-green lagrange cloud.

Or go to (skipping previous codex entry (route 2)) to wp2 and fly via (without detour):
HD 160167 (3578,78 ly from wp1)

Where you find the:
Gourd MolluscsCaeruleum
in the misty light of a blue star.

Finally you arrive at:
Waypoint 2: Praea Euq LQ-L b22-1
Here you will find the phenomena:
Now you have time to rest. We are meeting here Saturday 07 Nov. 2020
==========================================================================================
There is again a direct route to Waypoint 3 (1) or you can visit some extra stars (2) to complete your codex entries:

Col 285 Sector GG-N c7-34 (938.06 ly from wp2)
Jump via this system to find another Molluscs:

Afterwards, take a very small detour via
HIP 98182 (1369.41 ly from wp2 or 773.59 from previous stop)
Here you find the

This Mollusc interact very interestingly with nearby energy.

Danger: To see this beauty, approach carefully and make sure you can fly away when required.
Waypoint 3: Upaniklis

In this system you will find:
Generation ShipThe Golconda

The Golconda. With Forester's choice. This generation ship, including the crew nearly failed space adaptation. Listen to the story and see how they finally adapted to live in space by listening to its record after scanning the ship.

Danger: be careful for pirates if you have cargo (pod tissues). Better to drop them first at a safer place.
Note: Generation ships have no codex entries but all have voice data with a story.

After scanning the ship, commanders are free to move in the bubble until the meeting at Waypoint 4 (to be announced). Although they do not give a codex entry, commanders can eventually visit the rest of the 16 generation ships. (+1 since last week)
==========================================================================================
Our Journey continues. Commanders that want to complete their codex entries are advised to take route 2 via:
nTRSygMQ33XOux-uFhRTWe43Oh2aKaBkbvVkSYyCFDj02pYYqFs9q19tmuvXUmidtUB-BMesUFDJV0Sqkb-rKqwYPirZiXMZ7S2URD4XoEI_oD8jytvahggtHVsGKIXIdnpw9_53

Wredguia XD-K d8-24:
To find the last Mollusc:
Gourd MolluscsPhoeniceum

And those that are not interesting in having all variations of species, can set foot directly to:
Waypoint 4: Delphi
"Scan" the "Unidentified Signal Sources" that become "NonHuman Signal Source". Here you find the Thargoid species:

ScoutsMarauder
ScoutsBerserker
ScoutsRegenerator
ScoutsInciter

These species are found in “Non-Human Signal Sources” Every danger level has its own variants.
Danger: The Scouts will always shoot at you. Make sure you have sold all cargo, codex entries and exploration data and have descent shields before entering the “Non-Human Signal Sources”.
The Interceptors can be scanned safely (when no Scouts nearby) but ensure you do not get too close.
Finally you can get tissues with research limpets however, be careful! Interceptors do not like you pulling off pieces of their skin.
Before commander are visiting waypoint 5, they can optionally visit (route 2):
V0boIZ5eH1VZC9NpBX5dMIG0m4bMpICcfR23yb2iOp8MKDEd5hALx_qngY6sM_sP3k4P_xSVlFThjypcE3hDEolFW6ep_p5ad6DBChgXianXP4Tf-t1w549wXwG93FZxKCHRliSd

BD-12 1172 (868.81 ly from wp4)
The phenomena here contain the following variants:

The Lattice Mineral Spheres are a must-see a misty asteroid belt nearby planet 10

From here the expedition continues to:

Waypoint 5: Synuefe KU-F B44-4
With the by Guardian created

This beacon interacts with a laser and will give you an object that can be used to obtain guardian blueprints.
==================================================

We will leave the bubble now for two weeks. Be prepared to do manyjumps. It is farther then you used to do, but your patience will be rewarded.
The long (2) and short (1) routes are nearly the same. You only spent some extra time on scanning the codex entries.
VsaZevy0affuG2YO6muIXpWuoP3zpN6iCU8Zmd7PldgB46Iq7AhGHOIt7BM7cIceNjLhf_J6xPnDvJFzLBpIAtPyiNZAhQ-ULbWLHps7I4HZu-ULtsPxwb5v0v4G13KQdfdGvHnL

After a many jumps, you will finally arrive at
Eta Carina Sector EL-Y d19 (8,394.30Ly from waypoint 5)
Jump to this system to find in beautiful orange clouds nearby gas giants and ringed stars:

(Try to visit all Notabile Stellar Phenomena)

After this system, jump to the nearby system:
Eta Carina Sector JH-V c2-9: we will find new types:

Don’t forget to turn up the heating when coming close to the Ice Crystals.

We are not ready yet… fly to:
Eta Carina Sector JR-W d1-12 with its:

Finally we can jump to:

Waypoint 6: Blae Eork PZ-D d13-13:
With "it is freezing-when-you-come-close":

The environment in the green cloud with the double star gives an interesting ambience.
=============================================================
Our Journey is nearly finished. It’s again a ‘long’ road to the next waypoint however, your patience will be rewarded. It is shorter than the previous leg.
Also here, the difference between the long and the short route are the numbers of systems with notabile stellar phenomena. The distance is nearly the same.

The first system to visit is:
NGC 3199 Sector EB-X c1-6: (5,989.06 Ly from Waypoint 6)

Here we find again a new liveform:

In nice yellow-orange, geen or dark-bordeau clouds. Be Viride Bullet Molluscs have some interesting interaction with your shields.

Nearly there, now visit:
NGC 3199 Sector BG-X c1-4
And check out the:

All in green clouds.Visit all 4 phenomena to complete your codex

Forelast location at:
NGC 3199 Sector FW-W c1-7
you can find the variant:

And our last jump of the expedition leads us to:
Waypoint 7 (Finish): NGC 3199 Sector DL-Y d12 (See note below about NGC 3199 Sector EB-X c1-6)
Wonder the last phenomena of this expedition.

These are a bit aggressive. Little s.

Now the expedition is finished. We will have a last meetup next week to share our experiences and have some fun with some drinks and fireworks.

IMPORTANT!!!!
In order to get the mission fully finished in EDSM, please ensure you visited
NGC 3199 Sector EB-X c1-6
