Im not sure what the reviewer is expecting from a A 2600 game.
The console was deliberately nerfed so it would not compete with the arcade versions.

Star raiders was an influence on ELite.

Every Christmas it's family tradition to get the Atari 2600 out (yes, it still works).

We play River Raid, Pacman Polaris and Combat, mostly. There's also Haunted House, Empire Strikes Back and E.T - all boxed and still in good condition. Guess I got one of the E.T. games that didn't make it to landfill!

100% playable and enjoyable 35 years on...
