According an article in the Astrophysical Journal, the giant gas cloud heading for the Black Hole at the centre of the Galaxy has begun its death spiral...

Oh? I was under the impression that a black hole accretion disk could get very hot, and therefore emit black body radiation in visible light. Anyway, off to read the link..

A very cool article btw. Really cool. Space Engine does not show it when going to the black hole, needs an update.
