Space Station computer resource usage(docked)?

Has anyone noticed their graphics cards heating up quite a bit while at/in a station? I realize they probably require to do so, but what I'm talking about is when you're in a hangar and docked.
Apparently the game doesn't move you into an enclosed space graphically speaking. It seems to keep the station and everything around it loaded and using resources. Everything is fine near stars, in witch space etc, it's just stations I notice this at.

I've started limiting my time in them because I notice my fan is spinning at near 100%, and I don't like doing that for extended periods.

Also, this game doesn't take advantage of SLI? Only my primary card is being used it seems. It's almost 2015, new games should be utilizing SLI, especially one as beautiful as this.

It was also being discussed here:

Could be due to new shader implementation.

Check your temps with something like MSI's afterburner.

I dont see a problem with 100% fan as its designed to do this unless 100% isnt cooling your card to 85°C or less. You card will more likely become obsolete before the fan wears out.

Also I think its nvidia that need to optimise SLI and the drivers for the game, not FD optimise the game for SLI.

Well... when in space there's really very little to render- all the details have been clearly concentrated withing the man made structures.
It doesn't surprise me in the least.
