Elite / Frontier Space Station Problem

Hey guys, I've tried searching the forums and can't find anything on this, apologies if I missed something but...

When I dock in a space station where there should be the picture of the various people on the left side of the screen there is no image just text that says 'INSERT CDROM'

Does anyone know if this is something I have to just put up with or can I do something to fix it?

Hi ozric. Welcome to the forum

You can switch off the insert cd. By going into the options and uncheck the option for video.

That worked to get rid of the message cheers, but is there any way to have the pictures of the people shown rather than a blank space or not?

It depends on what version of FFE you are using. If your using JJFFE, you in luck, head over to the download area on the SSC and get the vid and sound files there. However, if you are using GLFFE or FFE3D your out of luck I am afraid as the vids dont work with these versions. The sound works though. There was rumours though on the Russian boards that a new version of FFE3D was going to be released that could use the vids, but no sign of it so far. To be honest your not missing much.

Ah ok cheers, I'm using FFED3D so hey ho. I remember that I'm not missing too much, I just like to know how shifty the crew members I take on look
