Newcomer / Intro Spacestation attacking me, I'm innocent!

Hi All,
Akkaban Market in Eravate has destroyed my ship twice now. I do not have a bounty and I didn't carash into anything or loiter.
The first time, I was un docking when someone else was being attacked by the station inside the hangar. I flew past them and then out of the station and was supprised to see I was atacked by the station and my ship destroyed. I lost half my accumulated wealth in cargo.
The second time (just now) I was approaching the station entrance where I saw another ship spinning in an uncontrolled way in the station entrance. I reversed and waited for them to clear. The ship exploded and then I started to get attached by the station!
I have now lost all of my money (the grand total of 1100 CR) and am being offered a loan to cover the difference.

Anyone know why this station seems to have it in for me?

Similar thing happened to me 2 days ago at Cleve Hub in Eravate and I had to pay 230,000 credits insurance premium to get my type 6 back. I was on the landing pad and selected launch and as soon as I did the station started firing on me. Blew me up before I could even get half way to the exit.

i ticketed it and would suggest that you do the same, as there seems to be something wrong in this system. I have been playing for a month and not seen any issues with this until now and in that system.

if you add me as a friend and can get to the same system as I am in, I might just drop you a few bonus cargo pods to give you a boost. I had someone do the same for me during Gamma and it really helped.

Space stations are very very intolerant with breaches of protocol so its easy for new comers to get blasted. Things like taking to long to dock, staying to long in the entry slot, staying to close to a landing pad you are not allocated to etc etc etc. You have to be very careful at stations. Try practicing docking with the tutorial in the main menu.

Thanks Benja, so this is a bug then. The station computers in that system must be homicidally paranoid.
I'll definitely report it and look you up. What system are you in?

It is not necessarily a bug. When the station attacks someone else and you fly into the gunfire, they dont just stop shooting. Dont go anywhere near the entrance of a station when you hear or see cannons or lasers.

I definitely didn't collide or loiter. I'm pretty comfortable with flying and docking. I used to play a lot of Elite back in the day and its amazing how it all comes back .

The problem is more when the station fires inside and you are just trying to dock nicely. I think it goes too far in the sense that it shouldn't be allowed to fire inside itself, especially lasers. There should be some patrols sent to deal with the troubling ship. Cause it's not your fault, as a pilot, if some incident is caused by another ship. So at least, if it does happen your ship is detroyed like this, you should recover it with all its upgrades for free.

I've seen the station "taking care of" some ships a good couple of times and once I had a shot melting on my shields too on the way out but I haven't been attacked yet.
Although it was interesting to see how life goes mad sometimes in the docks. Fingers crossed not to be offended in the future - I even keep the traffic rules when docking
