Spacial coordinates / Heading and bearing in space

We already have coordinates and direction markers while in orbit and on planets, but it would be a useful communication tool to also have that information available whilst in normal space and Supercruise.

In the Star Trek universe, they use the center of the galaxy as a point of reference for the direction they are going, so a heading of 90, 0 means going right in comparison to looking straight at the core.

The same type of system could be implemented in Elite and it could be either based on the center of the galaxy as well or probably more simply on the central star of each system.
This would help wings communicate when time is essential and would reduce the amount of times I hear conversations like "There's fighting over there, let's check it out" "Where?" "Just look around, you'll see it, it's right there, I'm heading towards it"

The last thing this system would need is a simple toggle in the Functions tab to enable and disable it from the HUD so that it doesn't clutter the view of those who don't need or don't want to use it.

Thank you and if anyone has suggestions to add or change from my proposal, I'd be intrigued to know.

Simon
