Spare a thought for the Mine Train

While I am thinking about it, I wanted to post about the runaway mine-train roller coaster. There seems to have been a drop of these roller coasters within parks, due I guess to them not having loops or being 'new', but they have always held a special place with riders. The way they are suited, in part thematically, going underground and into the rock, makes them a very close-up and thrilling experience. I think this is why the Seven Dwarfs mine-train in Disney was recently introduced, in part, because they have a wonderful feel to them. The way they exaggeratedly twist, and how their cars can bend like a mine truck, is a real thrill if done correctly.

I really hope these wonderful roller coasters, at some point, find their way into Planet Coaster.

Oh yeah! I've always loved the Mine Ride at Cedar Point.
It was a smooth, quiet coaster and a really fun ride, for not being "extreme".

I always thought that was the true beauty of Arrow's coaster, it can be as 'extreme' as you wish, yet always an exciting ride if applied with some creativity and good theming.

I'm surprised this hasn't been mentioned before. I've always preferred making wooden coasters but I definitely think the Mine Coaster is a must have for thematic elements. The devs already mentioned wanting to make sure they get wooden coasters just right and this is probably one of the surprises they are holding back on (hopefully)

I hope so, but I would not want anyone to rush (nor would you I'm sure). What I do hope is that, if we get it, we get variant trains and carts. The more modern carts are capable of far more extreme bends than the old trains (think Seven Dwarf Mine Train compared with the older Big Thunder Mountain Railroad).

Wasn't reference to a wild west theme found in the game's code? There's no way we'd get that theme and not get a mine train coaster to go with it. I love them too, in fact I have pretty particular tastes when it comes to coasters as I do like ones heavily themed vs the pure thrill based free standing coasters. I'd hope we get some desert textured rocks and a desert texture to paint terrain with too.

I'd like a Mine Cart coaster to, ala Indiana Jones and the Temple of Peril at Disneyland Paris (which has a loop).

That ride is an Intamin Looping Coaster, which I believe we will have at some point. They are, afterall, a RCT staple (don't confuse them with the Arrow or Vekoma coasters). What we could then ask for is a mine train model for the track, with the ability to put it facing backwards, another Intamin staple!

Best,
