Engineers Spawning missions for pined blueprint to gather materials idea

An simple idea to improve collecting materials immersion would be spawning missions that allows to collect needed materials for pined blueprint.

What do you think about it ?

Would be nice to have more ways anyway, like buy it on some rare markets ( after grinding some rep of course :)

Its a good idea....pity the Devs didn't think of it. I actually thought this is how it would work when I first tried. But after doing countless missions, dropping into every USS single I come across and scanning many data points I still cant find the cracked firmware I'm looking for.
 
That's a pretty good idea! The materials could even just be the rewards for the missions, instead of just the random stuff we get at the moment.
 
The engineers themselves could simply give out missions that would allow us to find the necessary items. The rarer the item, the harder the mission. But I don't think there is a way to make it even mildly interesting with the current mission generator.

Actually I have spent hours for a first delivery to an engineer, gathering tons of unknown stuff just to test the first change.
I think it should have been taken one hour or so for a very first try then scaling up with every upgrade until the player knows where to find his stuff?
 
another cool thing would be minerals/data etc markets, reputation related, allowing explorers to gather some rares from exploration, missions that allow to unlock some markets/items for some amount of time

keeping it separated and not able to jettison will prevent players to exchange and exploit it
