specific ranking issue--bugged or as intended?

Hi guys

I've been ranking up Empire to get a clipper.

Finding naval progression missions have not been a problem. However, once I complete them and turn them in for my "reward," which is the new rank, the game doesn't recognize my increase in rank.

For example, as a "Serf" I complete a mission that is supposed to make me a "Master." I complete the mission, but stay at "Serf" rank.

Do you more experienced players know what's going on? Is this a bug? Do I need to do several "Master" missions for the rank-up to occur?

This was supposedly fixed, however, even before it became an issue I encountered situations where it would not update my rank right away. Try save/exit to menu and then back in. If that doesn't work, then submit a report to support.
