These stones look like they've been eroded by sand storms. Wonder how severe the weather gets there. Not that I'm looking for a vacation destination

Yep, they do look interesting. Not a geologist but I don't think I've seen anything like that on Earth, they look a bit too sharp around the edges which probably doesn't happen on our orb due to our more extreme weathering.
Mars confuses the hell out of me.
Is that place geologically active? Why not so many craters?

Yep, definitely sedimentary, probably proves again that Mars did, once have a wet climate. It would be awesome if they could get a date from these to see when they were laid down.
