Speculation: GalNet feed in Ship UI

I don't see anyone talking about this tidbit from the newsletter: The GalNet feed will be available from the ship UI.

What does it mean? Does it mean that while we're out in supercruise we can browse Galnet news? Will the ship computer retain older stories that can be indexed and viewed later? Will there be a local news search function?

Or does it simply mean that you don't have to go to Station Services to view Galnet but you otherwise must be docked. That would stink if that's the case.

I'm going to take a guess and say the mysterious iPad between the pilots legs is going to be the news feed. I'm going to also guess it'll work like the station news feed, just read the local system related news without having to dock in a station. It has the right dimensions for the news feed as well.
