Speculation - Will President Halsey make it back to Sol alive?

OK guys this is rather straightforward: we know Powerplay is coming, we know Halsey plus her Vice President are starting a tour, and we know Shadow President is not soft or kind. Is it me or does it feel like an assassination might be just the right thing at the right time to trigger a huge war between the Empire and the Federation? With Empire winning needless to say

I mentally broke your title into two questions immediately:

1). Will she survive?
2). Will she return to Sol?

If there is an assassination / coup d'etat attempt, even if she survives it, she could still be in some way deposed. Even if not that, at least for a time, she could conceivably decide that Sol, surrounded by the very conspirators she has just thwarted, is not the safest place for her to be. Presidency -in-exile? I wonder what the rest of the Federation would think of that?

It's rather more interesting if she lives than if she dies, if you ask me.

Even though the news says she's set off, she's probably about as visible as the supposed Imperial Interdictors in Quivira. Can't see the President getting assassinated any time soon...

I'm a pirate with a Federal bias, and honestly if Halsey dies then the Federation will become a whole lot stronger.

All Factions will need to unite to thwart the common threat to all.
