Hello Commanders
Given that most of the backers speak English, we can assume that having the in-game speech in English works for a large majority of the current backers. So, entering a space station, ship messages and other incidentals are easily-understood by most.
But, who knows what will happen when the game gets retail release? What happens if, say, Chinese or Korean media get a love-on for the game and there is a huge demand for the game in other game-loving countries that don't speak English?
What about those existing countries that have a significant number of backers but English may or may not be spoken? Germany, Russia, Spain, Italy and France all come to mind.
I'm sure every country would like a localised version of the game, with all in-game text in their language. This task is relatively easy to do and can almost be automated. BUT, the harder task is spoken word, where suitable voice actors need to be hired. Should this be done for every region in which there is a localised version of the game?
Thanks for your thoughts.
