Speedlink Quinox: Anyone playing Elite with one?

I haven't used the pad, but I had an awful experience with a Speedlink Joystick. It was unresponsive, and the build quality was terrible - and this is coming from an X-55 user!

That pad looks like a more premium item than the £25 stick I had, but I'd avoid anything they make like the plague based on my experience.
