First off I would like to say I like this game, BUT, I had hoped they would have fixed the mission tab hexagon that just spins for an age then fails to connect. The grind you have to do to get rep in this game is bad enough without this major inconvenience. I know others experience this too, come on ED get this sorted ASAP!

Thats not really a fair assessment. At least 90% of missions work as intended but the whole thing still needs a lot of work.
As an FYI to the OP I don't get any failures except the odd one when playing at peak hours, that sounds like a connection issue or dropout.. Are you sure your internet connection to FD is stable? Are you playing at peak hours? Have you monitored the data bandwidth across? Is it consistent across Open/Solo/Group?

When it's happening, go to navigation's panel of the left and go in and out of Power Play tab, it fixes the spining hexagon for me
