Spiritual successor to Operation Genesis?

I was wondering the same thing cause the dev team that made JPOG was an Australian based studio called Blue Tongue Entertainment. I was wondering if any of them were working on this or were maybe contacted by Frontier, I don't know how that would happen. Blue Tongue went out of business/closed down many years ago.

It is unavoidable that the game will be viewed as such by some, but I could honestly do without every little facet of the gaming (known and unknown) being constantly compared to a 15 year old game that today requires less hardware to run than an Apple Watch.

It is obvious that Jurassic World Evolution will be the spiritual successor of JP:OG, but that is how it should be (and what we've waiting for for so long!). Many of us have spent many, many hours playing JPOG for years, despite the obvious limitations it had. JWE, as Planet Coaster is to RCT3, is the opportunity to resuscitate all those wonderful experiences and improve them to new points. :) I have great confidence that Frontier will have me playing JWE for many years, as only games like Zoo Tycoon 2 or RCT3 had succeeded.

Hey everyone,

Has everyone else played JP: Operation Genesis? This game looks a lot like a modern update to that game, are any of the same people involved?

Thanks,

Oz

I wasn't that way. I played JPOG as well but after a while the limitations just got to me. Also the game didn't age well graphically as expected from game made in 2003. I even looked up graphics mods for the game and there isn't much. We needed a graphically updated JPOG and we finally have it.

Only true Jurassic Park: Operation Genesis fans knows this pure gold video...
It was my first film which I've seen when I was searching full version of JPOG. Dem feels...

Evolution also includes the player controlled helicopter for tranquing/killing dinosaurs which was introduced in OP Gen.

This game is very much a spiritual successor.
