"Splash damage"

I feel splash damage is a little to much , Taking only one torp renders all 4 hardpoints to damaged + a few modules below 20% . one torp and its over for small ships .just a lil OP

You should be able to outrun a torpedo in smaller ships. In larger ships you can either take the hit and maybe lose your whole shield or go silent running. Silent running can sometimes work in your favor because the torpedo can start tracking on the person who fired it.

Torpedos are really one trick ponies. They have super limited ammo and really only survive one fight before they have to re arm at station.

Potentially devastating, but not OP. Deliberately balanced out by enemies only being able to carry a couple of shots for a whole hardpoint slot, and by targets being able to actively outrun and evade them.
