[SPOILER] Guardian Plasma Charger is great!

I collected the materials for both Gauss Cannon and Plasma Charger so I had to choose which one to unlock first. Since I was using regular C3 PA, and GC is some kind of rail gun, I figured GPC will do better.

But to my surprise, only medium size is available (AFAIK), I was expecting C3 but got C2 instead.
Never mind, I put two of these on my Dropship and I can tell you I love them! The sound, the effects, the damage!

Did you have to go to multiple Gaurdian sites to gather the resources? I scanned the orb for Guardian weapon blueprints multiple times at one site but it only gave the resource for the first scan.

I scanned two different orbs but I don't think it matters because it's all RNG. If you scanned it right after, you'll get nothing. You must log off/on and start the pillars from the beginning if you're not going to some other site. Not sure, but I think I got some blueprints also from scanning those obelisks at different sites..

Unfortunately the stats on paper don't seem to match up to the stats in application. Here's some testing I did a couple hours ago:

Yeah I tested this out myself earlier this week. Using 4x plasma chargers will obliterate anything ranked Expert or below. Master and above seem almost immune. I think it's because npc PIP setting becomes more apt with increasing combat rank.

Even "expert or below" is iffy at best. That competent Asp shrugged the shots off like they were nothing. And that's a ship that I know will lose 30% shields if you give it a dirty look and throw harsh language at it.

That's not it. Anything that will hurt an engineered ship will absolutely shred a regular ship.

I really want to agree with you, but i can't because i already have tested they in a RES site.

regular PA's do alot more damage and don't have any guardian material/data required to find/pick up.

But hey: i really hope they have some decent damage one day, just because of this im posting my opinion in there =D

I did some research (YouTube) and found videos of them obliterating ships they also do a lot of damage to thargoids
