spread shield energy

(translator)

there is a very interesting idea about the game "star citizen".. or in the last star wars (The Force Awakens) to choose.

the ability to send energy from the shield forward, backward or sideways.. to strengthen it or we wish it rather than elsewhere.

I think this suggestion is useless .. everyone looks at star war (well almost loL).

We already have the distributor pip system, so it would feel very convoluted having two different ways to manage shield strength.

The better solution is simply that hulls get a slight durability boost, and shields do not completely block incoming fire - for instance they reduce all incoming damage by 80% and penetration values by 50%, using arbitrary numbers, while still up.

I can't see this happening mind. Casual players would lose their minds if they were expected to actually make concessions on convenience modules for HRPs/MRPs.

the distributor pip system does its work (something with the translation, I'm not talking about the hull but shields :S Lol this head).

choose to send this energy (only the shield) or we wish it, it complicates, but in a multiple crew, it will give another post or one supplement.

it is true that now the shields with the engineers are already very resistant, that will require a decrease of resistance for the balance that many will refuse.

it's not bad if it's to reduce the strength of the shield and its importance (even if it has nothing to do with the idea of this thread)

a shield without the engineers is not very resistant, the difference is very clear, i think we have to go carefully.

Directional shielding?

It would certainly be cool, and it could serve add a lot of depth to combat. However, considering the number of controls we already have in the game, I don't see how it could be implemented in a way where players could use it efficiently.
