Spurious "Mission Objective Detected" Messages . . .

Since the update I am receiving spurious "Mission Objective Detected" messages from the ship's COVAS. When I check my missions board in Panel #1 to see if I accidentally accepted a mission there is nothing there. Once, a blue "Mission Objective Unknown USS" actually popped up in space near me but since I had over 300 units of void opal on board I could not divert to check it out.

Has anyone else experienced this?

I agree with the OP. Worst kind of spam. I'm bounty hunting, so of course a courier mission makes sense right? How about an assassination mission - never get those...

Any time a Mission USS is created, or you jump to Supercruise from 'normal' space in a system with a Mission USS already existing somewhere, you'll get that message. If it's not related to a mission you've taken it will be a system created trader or similar ad-hoc mission source somewhere in the system (more than 1000Ls away if you can't see it in the left hand Navigation pane). If you use the FSS you can locate it, or scan the Nav Beacon for the same result.

Yeah, I think it's from your inbox missions, regardless of whether or not you have accepted them.

I have been assuming that they're from missions accepted by other CMDRs. If USSs are now "persistent" and visible across all modes, then logically, a USS spawned by one CMDR's mission should become visible to all other CMDRs in the system. Even if you're in Solo, and the CMDR who accepted the mission is also in Solo.

They are the old buyer and fetch good USSes that now being persistent you can more easily complete.

Remember the Traders like Arial who would buy tea?
