The Sidewinder Syndicate squadron is sponsoring its first (or second, depending on what you count) exploration-focused expedition, and we'd love to have additional players join us regardless of squad membership (though we would love to welcome as many new recruits as would like to join us!).

We have a shortlist of destinations prepared, but the official selection will occur during our first meeting this Sunday evening (EST/EDT). While we will certainly encounter undiscovered systems and planets, since this is our first exploration mission, it's likely the destinations themselves have already been fairly thoroughly explored. We are using this expedition as an opportunity to shake-down our process and iron out any pitfalls in advance of a second, hopefully much longer expedition involving refueling carrier(s) en route (which isn't currently very feasible anyway, given the unfortunate state of Tritium mining). This expedition will be bringing along all of the fuel it requires before departing, so as far as we are concerned, it's good timing.
