Squadron focused on combat wing?

Hi commanders,

I joined Aisling (which I believe has the most members among all Powers) and their Discord channel.
I am also part of a squadron that recruited me at Shindez, and also joined their Discord.
I hate hauling without danger, so colonization is not my cup of tea.

I expected to see more requests to combat wing up on the Discords or the in-game squad feed, but nope, nada.
And when I asked last night if some were at the CG and wanted to wing up, nada.

I understand that the current focus of most is colonization, and I also did find on Inara the list of squadrons and what their focus is supposed to be...but are there some well-known ones that focus on doing combat activity in wings?
Or is one of the Powers well-known to seek the same (please, no false advertising )?
It is not that I need help: I just find it boring to fly alone.

Many squadrons are inactive or closed. The next big update is Vanguards. This should improve the guild-like features and increase multiplayer activities.

I saw a significant drop-off in activity in The Fatherhood squadron after Cocijo was downed. Squadron activity is down too, so this isn't just colonization.

Hoping Vanguards revitalizes old squads or crops up some new ones that can last.

Powerplay used to generate a lot organic PvP between Aisling/Empire and Federation. But in 2.0 open confrontation is not well incentivised and generally not necessary. It took a while for people to realise this so it was actually pretty good for a while. But it's settled into a rhythm of moving in the shadows mostly. And powerplay groups that would normally have PvPers that would come and help with powerplay, they won't come to help you at the CG, because it's considered a free for all, and where controlling the skies is basically impossible anyway because it's so busy.
