Squadron multiple leaders?

Can we not have multiple leaders in a squadron?
We are 2 friends who would like to share the leadership.

you can customize the ranks with permissions and even the rank names. I did this with my 2iC. Gave him the same permissions as me by giving him the next closest rank and renaming it. Everything that comes after is officer or rookie/nugget/recruit.

Can I leave the squadron without disbanding it as leader to give leadership to my friend?
