And you logged in in beta and your squadron was allready there? Because i logged in and i only had the option to create one.

I got the same email, and yes the Squadron was already created with me as the Commander.
Hang on a minute... are they implying that AFTER the beta, you will NOT be able to change these things?
If I decide to support a particular faction, then eventually that faction no longer needs my squadron's support, but somebody else does... I can't ever change my squadron's allegiance?
Yeah, Faction support (i.e. Crimson State Group, Privateers Alliance, etc.) will be a permanent choice (as far as I know) as well as any choice you make for a PP Power. In my mind, these would have to be hand entered by the devs ( or would be setup by the owner of a squadron after Beta).
It would seem to me that you would have to disband your squadron and set it back up if you change either of these pieces of information (with the very minor risk of someone stealing names and tags while you did it..in this case, I would suggest to the devs to allow a small timer (5-10 minutes) to allows these kinds of changes to occur if a squadron owner wants to make this type of change)

Oh dear. First we get limited to membership of only one squadron at a time, then we lose the ability to change that squadron's allegiance to adapt to changing circumstances. And when/if we get Fleet Carriers, then we lose them every time we decide to support a different cause.

Unfortunatelly i logged in in beta and thats not the case with me. I have PMed Will and i am waiting for a reply. I dont know what else to do at this point.
If your squadron doesn't serve any particular superpower, power or minor power, then why not just list them as independent? If you are chasing around whatever the flavour of the month is rather than actively pushing a particular goal, then do you really have any allegiance or are you just independent?
I guess that's pretty much the only viable option. Not sure yet what I'd be missing out on, if I never have access to the faction data for whoever I'm currently supporting.
Don't forget that a squadron can only have 500 members. If you have more people, you need to divide them across multiple separate squadrons.
