General Squadron Public Statment, Designed as a wind up?

Just formed a Squadron and wanted to add some welcome info, I had to google how to!, it was so obscure, even worse, a 300 character limit what!!!, It gets even worse a 100 character limit for copy and paste, I had to chop up a quite short public message into bits, to copy and paste into the statement, even more perplexing is I could not review my own post in the Squadron pages, I had to use an Alt CMDR to review my own post, That is Bat S*** Crazy.

So my simple suggestion is adding direct input of a public statement in the Squadron Hub, plus increase the character count.

What sort of essay were you trying to post? I think it's good that people have to actually be concise when they're explaining what their squadron's deal is.

If you want a massive manifesto on your squadron's history and links to your blog and so forth that's what inara pages are for.
