Square Cluster?

So, I'm out exploring, currently in the BYOI sector about 1000Ly above the galactic plane. I look 'down' as I'm starting to pass over a number of Nebula, and I saw the attached.

Bug or weird cluster? I can't find it on the GalMap.

Just a cluster, usually B stars cluster, there are very bright. Play with filters on the map and you should find some clouds.

Here's a big one:

The nebula at the centre is EESHORPS AA-A H80 (although it could be a coincidence that it's central to the cluster...the stars generally look above more than below, so I'm tempted to say it's coincidence...

Wow! Nice!

It's not easy to estimate the distances just by looking...

I'm quite near the nebula but still a lot of stars ahead. And some are part of the nebula too...

Oh and the little line is just because I'm in SC.

Sectors are generated as cubes, so what you see there is a sector which's star density is much higher than those of its neighbours. As you get closer to the core, such cases can pop up quite often. It's not really a bug, but a way of how Stellar Forge generates systems.

Also, the nebula being central is most likely a coincidence. As far as I know, the procedurally generated nebulae are generated from systems - hence their names. For example, the Eeshorps AA-A h80 started out as a star, then blew up and became a nebula during generation. There are cases where a sector can contain two proc. gen. nebulae: for example, near Jaques there are the Dryooe Prou AA-A h55 and Dryooe Prou AA-A h131 nebulae, both within the Dryooe Prou sector. If I recall correctly, neither of them are in the center of the sector.

Now this procedurally generated coincidence with the nebula and the star cluster is something you should write a little piece about and submit to the galactic mapping project :)

Ha, well, I made a comment in EDSM against the system I was currently in...basically "look down, weird thing"...that's about as far as it'll go!

I'm in the middle of one of these now.
Lots of B types a sprinkling of O types some T-Tauri's & Herbigs
A few black holes too (it's fun to mess around with the lensing with a backdrop like you get in these)
