Horizons SRV Cargo?

Hello.

Im new here and kinda to the game.
I'm having a problem with the srv not showing the materials i mine in it's cargo.
It say's i picked it up and what material it is but when i look in my srv's cargo it shows nothing.
When i pick up canisters it shows those.


What am i doing wrong?

Look on the left side of the invemtory screen, there should be the options cargo, material, data and synthesis. To look at the materialy you picked up you habe to swith over to the materials option.

Materials dont go in to your cargo bay only commodities.

Could be that you are picking up materials. You can only pick up 2 tons of cargo, then it is full. So look in the right hand screen, as said, and find the materials sub-tab to find what you picked up. Check the cargo sub-tab while you are about it.

Edit - Additionally.

Once you have loaded 2 tons of cargo, you have to go back to the ship to upload them into the cargo bay. (Do this by driving under the SRV hatch, select the menu (#3), select cargo transfer to ship. Now your SRV will be empty of cargo again.

Materials do not transfer to the ship. You "carry them with you" - a gamey feature unfortunately. You can't sell or trade them, only use them for crafting items, such as fuel boost, repairs, or use them with Engineers, etc. You don't lose them if your ship is destroyed, but the cargo you do lose.
