SRV Collision Detection

Guardian sites proves also that we need atmospheric planets... ruins and structures on barren and airless worlds? Didn't they need to breath? Probably this is the reason why they are extincted...

We have plenty of stations on airless worlds, maybe the only reason we haven't found guardian sites on planets with atmosphere is that we can't yet land on planets with atmosphere! We also have left ruins and structures on airless worlds, does this demonstrate we are an extinct species? I very much suspect guardians aren't exinct, they have just retreated to their home worlds in one of the permit locked areas.

The "best" one is when you get hooked around a lamp-post at a settlement - attempting to steer left or right will just snag you on it even worse.

About the only way to escape is to try and thrust/roll away from the lamp-post.

According to the lore our ships can land on atmospheric planets, which are actually our capital worlds. The fact that there is no guardian content on atmospheric world is an inconsistency dictated by the software limitation. In my opinion it's a clear demonstration that certain extra contents should have been released after other ones more important that could've unlocked a lot of more gameplay for the same guardians.

Now imagine exploring an ancient ruins like this with legs:

Rather than driving around this:

Mine doesn't really hold much water either. The whole subject of SRV control is probably one of those things you just don't want to look at too closely. Like RELSPI's home video collection.
It's really not that complicated.

You are always physically present in your SRV.
If you are using the turret you are still physically present in your SRV but looking through the turret cam.
If your SRV gets destroyed you are magically transported to your ship just like you get magically transported to the next station when your ship gets destroyed. That's done for gameplay purposes because as long as there are no space legs there is not much you can do apart from being stuck next to your destroyed SRV. So the game just skips the whole rescue sequence where your ship comes to help you.

As an aside to the asides... I'm doing a bit better now and much more aware of the risk of becoming entangled.

Thus far too, Dav's Hope is now procing quite nicely for the materials, subject to save/reload. I've got enough now that Farseer will be throwing her daughter in along with the FSD mods, to keep me company on those long flights... :devilish:

If the daughter is as attractive as the mother... Good luck out there!
