SRV damaged my hull

So I travelled to Sagittarius A suffering only minor heat damage. I landed without belly slapping the planet for once. Deployed my SRV realised I hadn't set my controls for this rig and immediatly boarded again. As I ascended into my cockpit Matilda announces that I have suffered hull damage! 1% gone. My shiny exploration vessel, an Asp X, bashed by a lowly SRV. I have a Hull Reinforcement Package as well!

Exiting and re-boarding should not have caused any damage.

Did your SRV shoot your ship or crash into it?
Do you have shields? Were they on?
Is it possible that your landing caused damage?

Sometimes the hull damage display doesn't update until you log off and back on.
So you might not have seen it until you re-boarded.

The AI always informs you of hull damage when you board the ship, are you sure you didn't get the damage before deploying?
There also could have been a display bug as Major Klutz mentioned

Nope, didn't move. Shields and four boosters all fully charged, 4 pips to sys. Softest landing ever, like a fart on a blamonch.

Well, here now I must eat my hat and apologise to my poor SRV. I found a screenshot showing 99% hull damage when viewing the black hole. I've no idea when or where it happened but there you go.
