SRV, drive assit toggle.

Hello CMDRs, I play exclusively via a handheld Windows PC, so with just a controller really. I recently had my SRV out for a drive and noticed I could only toggle drive assit on/off when holding the back/select button. I don't remember it being like this on console.

My question is, is it possible to change it to toggle on/off with a button press? I'd assumed it was in the keybind settings, but just couldn't find it.

I still have not found a use to the drive assist.
Once turned on, it makes everything worse...maybe when they implement long highways between settlements within a no-fly zone?

It is useful for coming to a quick stop when you have very good traction and preventing rolling down slopes, but generally it is too much of an advertisement for why digital controls can be a bad thing if incorrectly applied.

options, controls, srv controls, driving, drive assist
Hmm, that seems to be just for keybind. Unless I'm missing something.

As for my personal use case. I just prefer pressing RB/RT, or whatever button people has throttle set to, rather than having to hold the button down. One console at least, I could increase/decrease speed in small increments, with a press of a button.

That's not to say I exclusively use drive assist on though, sometimes toggled off it's just better, depending on the planet terrain.

You can I believe set binds for direct throttle settings and increments, I use a throttle so haven’t bothered, but that will be in a different bit of the SRV bindings.

Dont you confuse with the hand brake?
This, I use a lot
No DA-On sets the speed directly so if you go to zero throttle it tells the SRV to do zero speed so it doesn't roll, and stops almost instantly or slides depending on the surface and gravity if you were at speed.

You can slide down a slope but not roll.

When I used DA-On I rarely needed to set the handbrake unless I was using the free camera.
