SRV - Free camera not working?

Anybody got any idea what I might be doing wrong?

The free camera works perfectly with my ship.
I have "C" defined to activate the camera suite and then 1 to 9 for various views and free camera.
So, I press "C" then press "1" and I have control of the camera.

Just doesn't seem to work when I'm in an SRV though.
I have "V" defined to activate the camera suite and the rest of the controls are (IIRC) common to the ship controls.
I press "V" and then if I press 2 through 9 I DO get a bunch of different views but pressing "1" doesn't do anything.
No free camera.
Nada.

Is there something else I need to do before I can get the SRV free-camera working or what?

I've been visiting surface outposts on some pretty cool planets and wanted to take some screenies from my SRV but I can't.[sad]

I tried mapping it to the same key. But it didn't work. The control menu doesn't allow it. As you say, bind it to something different and all will be good.

You guys read the part where I said I have "C" bound to activate the camera suite for the ship and "V" for the SRV, right?

Also, as I said, I CAN access the camera suite for the SRV but it only shows the fixed cameras.
It's just that I can't enable the FREE-CAMERA on the SRV.

Are we saying that, having enabled the camera suite (using "C" for ship and "V" for SRV) there is ALSO supposed to be separate controls to enable free-camera for ship and SRV?
If so, where are those controls?

All I see is this:-

5th option down. "Enter free camera".

Doesn't seem to be separate keys for ship and SRV.

Ah, that's a different issue.

My guess is that you have something else bound to "1" in SRVs that's taking precedence and preventing you from getting into free camera.

I'm getting exactly the same issue.
It makes no difference if I set up separate buttons for Enter Camera mode from either the ship or the SRV.
There is only one button to enter the Free Camera mode (I'm using Enter) which works fine in the ship but won't work from the SRV. If I bind a different key to enter Free Camera mode, it still doesn't respond when I try to use it from the Camera suite when I'm in the SRV.

Found the issue.
Enter was the key for entering Free Camera mode.
In the SRV controls set up it was not bound.
However it was bound to quick comms in the ship controls section.
Although not set for quick comms in the SRV controls, it still worked as a quick comms toggle from within the SRV.
The quick comms toggle set up specifically states that it will not affect the camera - well it does, it blocks the Free camera from working. Having rebound both ship and SRV quick comms to Enter and the Free Camera to Backspace, it now works.

Mine does the same issue. But my free cam is bound to number 1. Same as my ships free cam... Is that the issue? I could have sworn the ship and srv free cams were not separate controls.

The control to initiate the camera suite can (but does not have to) be a different button for the ship or the SRV. If it is for example Tab, then if this is set for the ship, it seems to automatically assume this function whilst in the SRV also, even if it isn't specified.

The problems arise when trying to enter Free camera mode having already started the Camera suite. This is one control, not specific to ship or SRV. What I eventually learned was that this key must not be bound to any other function, either SRV or ship. I was using Enter, which worked fine with the ship, but wouldn't work in the SRV. I found it bound to quickcomms in the ship key binding selections, and it worked as such in the SRV even though it was not bound within the equivalent SRV key bindings. I have now set Backspace as my Free camera mode entry button, leaving Enter for quickcomms on both ship and SRV, and Tab to open the camera suite, specified for the ship (but not necessary to do this also for the SRV).
