Horizons srv help

If this is already posted sorry did not see it. How do i scan objects with srv? Rocks etc and how do i pick them up? I lower my cargo hatch ran over them and nothing . Looked in wiki for help thanks

Once you get within 50m of rocks, they can be targeted and shot, and you can then scoop the pieces. I don't think you can scan them.. (never tried!)

You can also find wreckage which can be scanned, again get within 50m then hold the secondary trigger to fire your data scanner.

I lower my cargo hatch ran over them and nothing .

You must first shoot the outcroppings as the other poster said. Then TARGET the "rocks" that fly out before you run over them.
