SRV HOTAS z-rotation x-axis trick

This is blatantly obvious in hindsight, but it took me until this week to think of it.

After running into my nth guardian building grinding sentinels to get wreckage I was fed up of not being able to turn while in turret mode so I switched my brain on.

Now I map my turn to my z-rotation, it feels better than x-axis; but I use my z for rotating the turret too so I'm great at running into things and over cliffs if in combat. Then it hit me to take advantage of the dual bind option in control settings and use x-axis as the second option.

Took a bit of getting used to, but it makes me really maneuverable in combat and improves the heck out of my dodge rate.

I also found it gives me a second advantage; when driving and using both z and x axes the SRV turns on a dime, making gathering materials much simpler.

Apologies for taking the time of people without rotating sticks and who already figured this. To the one person living under a similar rock to mine, you're welcome :)

I revert to mouse in turret mode. The sentinels are pretty dumb and easy, even for total wombats like me :)
Intrigued by your assertion about turn speed though..... Might have to give that a whirl. Sounds like a bug though :/

Little confused re this being in the Exploration sub-forum; perhaps a move to Hardware ?

1. There's a hardware forum and they use it for in-game things, not PC builds? o.0
2. Wot BaldEgal said.
3.An SRV is an exploration vehicle, so Exploration thread.
4. There is no 4
