General SRV mining idea

So i have this idea for an activity to do in the srv on planets.

Subsurface fission displacement mining. Also known as boring a hole into the ground, dropping a nuke and seeing what gets spat out.

So the idea is, you go onto the planet. Take your SRV out, and start using some new scanner to scan for mineral deposits under the surface of the planet. When you find one, (think like deep core mining on asteroids, some kind of blip you have to learn to read). Then you can drop sonar pylons. 3 of them, to triangulate the precise location of the deposit. So driving around in the srv essentially dropping these pylons to narrow down the location and then when you have placed 3 of them correctly, you'll see where the deposit is. Think every pylon shows you a new narrower location of the deposit, but all 3 of them would have to be placed over the deposit to literally triangulate it.

After that, drill a hole down, place an appropriate strength nuclear charge and then drive away. Turn around, poof of smoke on the surface of the planet, and if done correctly tons of minerals pop out!

Bonus points, make the poof of smoke make a small new crater on the planets surface.

I think this could be a cool new addition for odyssey and some of the new srv's we HOPEFULLY will get! Also from a gamedev perspective, it doesnt really require any new planet tech or anything, just a new minor gameplay loop.(unless you add cratering, which would be awesome)

Opinions?

Great idea. If I may suggest another thing... make the SRV capable of taking more than 2 items in the cargo. And perhaps make it possible to scoop up more than one raw material at a time. It gets a bit tedious going back and forth a dozen times to scoop them all up.
