SRV somersaults no more :(

Guessing y'all knew this already but I only just discovered it.
Been doing the Guardians ruins mission thanks to Cmdr Dognosh's excellent guide. Anyhow....that put me back in the SRV. Hadn't realised it has actually been months since I've used it at all and more like 8 months since using it for any decent amount of time (DWE WP 24).

So I quickly got back into larking about and at first thought I was having graphics issues. And then realised that, no, this is a new feature. High forces cause the screen to fade to a dark red blindness. Cool......except....noooooooo.
The days of multiple somersaults and generally faffing about are basically over (or have a massively increased difficulty for landing correctly, depending on your view).

Almost tempted to head back to BP2 to try it again....almost.

Could it be perhaps that your graphics option "black out screen" for the SRV is on?

It's an option to reduce motion sickness for the players.

think its the external cam view (more than likely) the screen blacks out if the camera viewpoint goes underground or near an object. - you get this when the camera is fixed to the SRV, and also when its fixed to the ship when canyon flying and you get too close to a wall / floor (which can be fun)

you can still do SRV aerobatics, even more so in some respects, you just need to fix the camera point and do all your faffing about in front of it.

Didn't think about trying the camera. That could be a workaround.

It's in your SRV options. Something about HMD view etc. It's to help people not get motion sickness if using VR I believe.

I switched mine off and can happily flip the SRV when I want :)

freestyle is important for sure
